A wonderful read
Reviewed at: Chapter 12 - Final
While the pacing was sometimes a little slow, I greatly enjoyed the story as a whole. The MC was well rounded, his character fleshed out and consistent, and with a fair amount of growth throughout the story. Despite being fan fiction, the author went to great pains to ensure the MC did not co opt every original arc by becoming a fix-all, and in fact wrote in a completely new arc for the MC to follow independent of the rest of the cast.
MHA, and indeed every universe with a nominally consistent power curve, has the potential to have tons of side stories that are just as impactful and interesting as the original source materials’ main focuses, and I feel that Just Desserts has fully lived up to its potential for an interesting and unique story.

Reminds me a bit of Gaara from Naruto

Honestly this is a very solid fanfic. The author has a good grasp on how to weave a story. I wish the powers of the mc were a bit more explained but there is a goal, and I find myself wanting to read more. My only complaint is that there's something I can't quite put my finger on that's stopping me from giving this a full 5 stars. I liked reading it, the grammar was decent, the world building pretty fleshed out, the main character has an interesting personality, but I can't say this is the best of the best I've ever read. Maybe it's the style and pacing of it seems a bit slow at times. All in all, it's a good work worth reading.

Fantastic Read.

Great Fic all around. I binged it over the course of a week and it was truly spectacular. I tend to look fanfictions with high quality writing and story, and this was well above the bar. Thank you, Mr.Author, for the amazing journey this was.
that's not 50 words already, damn?!

A beautiful, sand-made dream.

The writing was masterful and I was completely engaged with the story. In spite of being a fan-fiction of a series I had previously watched (and was mildly disappointed by), this re-telling made it more compelling and interesting, so I whole-heartedly recommend it.
All that is left to say is... Plus Ultra.

that was so good

The characters were close to the original ones, the OC was seamlessly integrated into the story making it richer and better.
The guy he replaced in the story was one of my most hated characters there, so this was another good point.
The story was touching, the struggles were relatable and the ending just so wholesome!

My New Fave OC BNHA Fanfic

I don’t have much else to say other than that this was incredible. It was well-written and well-thought-out and definitely deserves more attention! All the characters felt 3-dimensional and I definitely got the closure I was looking for when I decided to read this story after seeing it was completed. Next time I see a Reddit post looking for OC BNHA fanfics this is the one I will recommend.

A Fanfic at it‘s finest

This is one of two only good fanfics i Know-how about the other one being „The Fateful Uchiha“ and Theo are both phenomenal, this one prompting me to abandon all else and binge everything within a few days, and I would say that it clears up and deepens the world of MHA by a lot!

Gran historia

Bold start, cathartic end

I read the revised version of the story and it was amazing. I couldn't put it down for one second and binged the whole book in a couple of days.
The people feel real, more real than the anime or manga even. The interaction seem genuine and the vibe is pleasant. The main detractors is that the main character is too good at everything, but it feels like a manga in that way and I can suspend my disbelief.
The plot flows from one point to the next, it feels comfortable. The progression feels a little fast but not insane imo. I teared up a little at the end too, a cathartic last stand and disbelief that the author closed out the story instead of pulling a mario (your princess is in another castle).
Highly recommend.

Well Written With Nothing but Angst
Reviewed at: Chapter 20
A techniquly well written story with a typical and cliche mc (Stoic autist with learning disabilities) and nothing more to it than that. By chapter 3 it becomes extremly clear to experinced readers what this story is about and that unfortnatly it's never going to change. The mc is one of a dime a dozen like him, who experinces no real growth or change and who is, in the end, just a vehicle for the author to heap endless amounts of angst onto the reader because that seems to be the only thing this story has to offer. The mc's friend is kidnapped, people die where they had no real reason to but angst, etc. it's a very typical edgy fanfition and the only thing that really sets it apart is how well written it is out side of the story aspects.
