Mother of Learning
Zorian is a teenage mage of humble birth and slightly above-average skill, attending his third year of education at Cyoria's magical academy. He is a driven and irritable young man, consumed by a desire to ensure his own future and free himself of the influence of his family, whom he resents for favoring his brothers over him. Consequently, he has no time for pointless distractions or paying attention to other people's problems.
As it happens, time is something he is about to get plenty of. On the eve of the Cyoria's annual summer festival, he is killed and brought back to the beginning of the month, just before he was about to take a train to Cyoria. Suddenly trapped in a time loop with no clear end or exit, Zorian will have to look both within and without to unravel the mystery before him. And he does have to unravel it, for the time loop hadn't been made for his sake and dangers lurk everywhere...
Repetition is the mother of learning, but Zorian will have to first make sure he survives to try again - in a world of magic, even a time traveler isn't safe from those who wish him ill.

BOOK 1 COMPLETED!
The long path starts here. A journey through lands haunted by demons, fae, and the ghosts of the past.
For decades, the lands of Aurum lived in fear beneath the threat of the wicked White Queen. A cruel sorceress, she worked the Art of magic to bring down freezing blizzards and ruin upon those who opposed her. Her mad ambition swallowed an entire generation in flame and horror, and it seemed that all would be swept up in the bloody tyranny of her rule.
For a time.
That's all in the past, now. Years back, the White Queen was slain, her ambitions broken, her erstwhile kingdom shattered. The bones of her kinsmen scattered into the earth, so much dust, all for naught. So it goes.
Though the Queen's War is nothing but a memory now, the lands are tired, broken, bled dry. Charred ruins lie where bustling towns once stood, and quiet shadows settle where folk made their homes, their lives, not so long ago. Where humanity has retreated, dark powers such as fae and demons have crept forth. Even the gods seem exhausted. Some wonder if things will ever be right again.
It is into these scarred and shattered lands that the young wizard Martimeos, now of age, takes his first steps. Such is the nature of the Art; those it embraces are driven forth to wander, to see the lands, no matter the darkness that lies across their path. But unlike most, he has a goal: His older brother left to fight against the White Queen, but never returned, leaving behind only tales of what he had done. Martimeos does not hold onto the hope that his brother may live, or even that he'll find his bones, but to learn of what happened to him, to his friends? That is worth knowing.
And so he follows a fading trail, chasing echoes of the past and haunted by his memories of the war's horror. It will be a long journey, and along the way Martimeos will uncover secrets, tales of his brother's heroism and deeds. He will begin to wonder what sort of man his brother was, and whether or not the war had changed him. In time, these questions will carry him west, far west; deep into the mysteries of the Art and the world itself. Fortune has its plans for Martimeos, and those who would travel with him - whether he would like it or not.
But it all starts here, in a dark forest, and a chance meeting with the mysterious swamp-witch, Elyse, whose easy smiles and charm hide secrets darker than Martimeos suspects. Here, with a quiet shade from his past that haunts him, and strange, cruel thorns that choke the land and his very dreams. Here, with the cursed village of Silverfish, and its tale of woe, and the regrets and sorrows of its folk, with demons and defeated men and a tragedy that has gone on for far, far too long. The world as it once was might never return, but there is always the choice: to do what one can to make it better, or settle into the shadow yourself.
The Art will snare you and Fortune cast you to the wind to tell the tale it wants. Come along and see how it begins.
Wander west with us, if you would.
WANDER WEST, IN SHADOW is a slow-paced, classic adventure tale that takes place in a dark fantasy world of faded kingdoms and lost history, with no litrpg elements. Magic in this setting is less powerful than in many other fictions, especially when Elyse and Martimeos are first starting out their journey: discretion is the better part of valor, and it is often better to run than it is to stand and fight.
If you are interested in a long story full of danger and mystery and some darker themes, where the protagonists gradually become stronger, this may be the series for you!

Chasing Sunlight
Book now available on Amazon!
In a world of lightless skies and endless secrets, humanity is a vigil of light against the eternal darkness. Under the imprimatur of the Illuminated King and the nefarious endorsement of the Reflected Council, a veteran explorer assembles an expedition to the far east. A place that no sane and god-fearing man would ever go.
Jonathan Heights will, and must, for he claims to have seen sunlight. A laughable myth and fairy tale, but he will not be stopped on his journey to find it again.
Wonders and horrors both lie between the human lands and his ultimate goal; things long-forgotten and long-dead, that which could not be recorded on any map. They are temptation and terror to the wise and foolish alike, but not to Jonathan. His purpose is clear, and he has but one goal, yet the truth is shrouded and motives remain uncertain among the agents of both crown and underworld as they join Jonathan aboard the airship Endeavor to sail the strange and exotic lands out there in the darkness.
Chasing Sunlight is a pulp airship adventure serial inspired by Sunless Sea, HP Lovecraft, and a little bit of Moby Dick and The Odyssey. It will be a single book, somewhere between 25 and 30 chapters.
The first five chapters will be uploaded once a day, Mon 28 - Fri 1, at which point it will be uploaded every Friday at 5PM.

The year is 1889. As Eiffel and his iron tower herald a new age of science and industry, young Laurent Valmore learns a dead man’s secret: that Deaths great and small have preyed upon men since the dawn of civilization, and that mankind will only achieve immortality once they are all slain.

Regis and Charlotte
Regis knows it's an illusion. He's only ever seen Princess Charlotte from afar; only heard her voice when she spoke to a crowd. Sure he's good at reading people, but he knows she of all people will be wearing a perfect mask.
The problem is he's in love with the illusion, and it's not going away.
So he strikes out on a quest: win the fighting tournament held every year, where she gives out the prize, and hypothetically—just hypothetically—he can forfeit the monetary winnings and instead ask for a week to be close to her, to get to know the real her, and break the illusion once and for all.

---------------
The last of the soul-shards of Aelryinth is cut free, and is drawn through astral space to a new realm... one with no exposure to the gods, powers, and system of the Power of Ten at all.
It is a world of Magery, where Elements of Magic is the science, the power is in people, and humanity dwells alongside countless magical creatures who actively contest the world with them... yet is still remarkably similar to our own in many ways.
Shard Zeben will have to hit the ground running and make some major adjustments in a gamer's outlook as she introduces the mages of this world to what it means to be a truly versatile wizard... and to bring the Light of Heaven to a world that has no such thing!

Ebooks in the Power of Ten Series (Kindle): Power of Ten: Series Page for the First Day, the First Week, and the First Month!
Based on, but not set in, the world of, the Chinese Webnovel Versatile Mage. The magic system is a guideline, and gets modified a great deal and fleshed-out for completion, because wizards are total geeks about that stuff and it's what they do.
No smut, no harem, sex is offscreen, profanity is mild. There'll be occasional numbers, occasional Assays of progress, and a lot of trying to work out how the magic is actually functioning.

Father of Monstrosity (ALSO AVAILABLE ON AMAZON)
PLEASE DO NOT disregard the content warnings. They are there for a reason. This is a gruesome body-horror story with no moral absolutism.
The story is available in eBook and Paperback formats. It will not be stubbed for the foreseeable future.
Jakob was only seven when he was summoned to Helmsgarten’s sewers by the Fleshcrafter calling himself Grandfather. For seven painful years, Jakob studied the depraved craft of his monstruous mentor, before being let loose on the populace of the metropolis.
With the vague task of creating the ultimate being to rival the greatest creation of Grandfather, he is left with nothing but the flesh-stitched robes on his body and the loyal wight Heskel. Together, the pair explore a civilisation that is utterly alien to them, as they were both raised in the dark and damp of the city’s underbelly.
Along his journey, Jakob constructs many monsters and constructs, while dodging the noose of the guards and the Kingdom’s justice. He cavorts with demons and their spawn, joins the Adventurers’ Guild in his voracious hunt for knowledge, fights nightmares of his own creation, and parleys with Demon Lords and Great Ones.
Many who believe him a weak child suffer eternally for their arrogance. Even the Kingdom, with its inexhaustible wealth and power, rues the day it chose to cross the Fleshcrafter Boy and interfere with his great undertaking.
And in the end, even Grandfather must face the realisation that his creation is greater than he could ever have imagined.
I have plans to continue with a second book, so make sure to follow my profile if you enjoy the story.

Contractual Obligations [or; Accidentally Seducing a Fallen Angel]
When a young and inexperienced Dark Mage summons a demon to work in his bakery, he's not looking for much. When that Demon gets frustrated with him adhering so strictly to the contract's terms it cannot claim his soul, she gets frustrated enough to... renegotiate. It's a shame their summoner has no idea what they're doing.
Originally written from November to December of 2021 on Fiction.live, and now edited and cleaned up for presentation elsewhere. The first three chapters will be published back-to-back as I'm satisfied with their edited state. Afterwards updates will come once every other day or so. Though the story will feature suggestive content, it will not contain anything explicitly sexual until its ending.

He only expected to lead in a fight against starvation, but far greater danger arrives in forms both fair and foul.
