Kleo and Jack head south, returning to where they met. They must recover her mother's body and return it home to the Demana sanctuary in the great desert to the west. An insidious threat stands between them and the sanctuary, and Kleo's Kadas Shadoom will force a showdown, which will require her to embrace her transformation as the Arch Demana. Her greatest fear is that Jack will be unable to accept who she is becoming, the force she is meant to be. She needs him. His love and support means everything.
